Rising Stars
Saturday, April 27, 2024 | 7:00pm Jones Auditorium, Meredith College
Alex Lin, pianist, the winner of our annual Rising Stars Concerto Contest, will perform as featured soloist with the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra. He will play the first movement of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, flanked by two premieres: Elyse Kahler’s Lullaby for Orchestra (NC premiere) and Steve Landis’ Until Then Skal (world premiere). The Capital City Girls’ Choir of Meredith College will also join us onstage to sing in Lullaby, as well as John Leavitt’s Festival Sanctus and Jocelyn Hagen’s I Started Out Singing.
